Will test taken in Jan arrive in time for regular decision? The test date is Jan 23rd I think....I have to use the 'rush-score'' report right?

It won’t arrive in time for a lot of colleges because the last test date they take Is Dec. So you need to check whether the colleges to which you are applying will even take Jan scores.

For those that accept Jan scores (also a lot), and if they have electronic delivery from the College Board (most), then what they most often want you to do to get them there in time to be considered is list the college as a college to receive scores as part of your application for the test (a list you can change or update on-line), i.e., you need to send them blind as to the score, and CB’s usual send date for those scores is actually a few days before it releases those scores to you on-line.

As to rush score reports, you may have to use it for schools that don’t have electronic delivery but be aware that many colleges do not want rushed score reports and for those with electronic delivery rushing them most likely will not get them sent any faster than regular delivery. A back-up for any college is to order the score sent but then, when you get your score, fax a letter to the admissions office enclosing a copy of the score report, telling them official score has been ordered sent and asking them to include what you sent in your admissions file.

drusba, why won’t rushed score reports be any faster than regular delivery in electronic deliveries?
