Will these factors boost my chances?

I am wondering if applying to a school where all my family has gone will increase my chances? My family has even attended there for grad school. And does it help my chances to have someone of very high position at the school put in a nice word for me? Is there anything anyone can say to help my chances? And is there anywhere on an application where I can note my legacy and ties to the school?

@Madi12 Each school deals with legacy applicants differently. It would be hard to tell you either way if it will be helpful for you. On the common app there are usually a series of questions regarding family members. This is where you would put the information. Not sure if it has space to add more than one legacy

Google Common Data Set and look at section C7 to see what weight alumni relation gets.
