Will this affect my transcript?

<p>I'm currently in Pre-Algebra as a 8th grader. Many students in my grade are going to Geometry or Geometry Honors next year but I can't. :(. Because the pre-requisites to get into Honors Geometry is if I complete Algebra 1(Which I haven't) and follow the honors criteria. I asked the guidance counselor if I could complete Algebra 1 during the summer, but my guidance counselor told me the school doesn't offer summer courses for Middle Schoolers. Though I can still complete Algebra 1 during 9th grade and complete Geometry during the summer then in 10th grade I can get into Algebra 2 Honors(If I do really well). But I'm still afraid if take Algebra 1 as a freshmen that it will affect my chances of getting in a great university like Stanford, Harvard, etc. Because Algebra 1 is quite an easy course compared to other students taking Geometry Honors during that same year. Please help? Will it affect my transcript. If it does what should I do?</p>
