Will this affect to my transfer? Help me, international folks!

I am applying transfer for Fall 2016.

Once I applied TAG for UCD, they kept asking me about all the English courses that I took before coming to the U.S.
I sent most of the documents (certificate, not transcript because they were literally private English institution, which are called “Academy”).

Anyway, I have had email connection with UCD or UC TAG admission (https://ugappinfo.ucop.edu/messageResponse). While the connection, I asked about my previous college in Korea. It was not actually a “college” but an institution that offered occupational training and A.A degree. Then, they immediately asked me to send the transcript there, which is printed with 1.7 GPA. (I could not even get the degree…)

Okay… Will this transcript affect to my transfer?
I think this information will be remain at UC admission so that I need to report this information when I apply for general UC transfer by NOV 30th. Am I right?

It was even 4 years ago that I attended that institution in Korea, and I have been doing so great in here U.S.A. I feel so bad if it affects to my efforts I have made, here.

Could you give me a piece of advice and answer for this, pleeeeez??! Thank you so much!!

@MYOS1634

They’ll keep it in mind but your work at a cc will be 10 times more important.
However either it was a college or it was a trade school. UC s don’t care about trade schools and dint want the transcript. Any university will want to see your pre ca work, even if it doesn’t matter.
If you were in a chat, no admissions don’t care.
However legally you are bound to provide college transcripts ( not trade school transcripts)

I think you need to work on your English skills, that’s why they are asking about English classes. Your current skill level presented here shows that you will have difficulty at Davis.

Send all previous transcripts from your schools.

Thank you Myos!!! :slight_smile: They still did want the transcript, so I sent it to them. :frowning:

@“aunt bea” The reason they asked me about English classes was because I reported those information on TAG application. But, yes, you are right. I need to work on my English skills.

It is best that you work on your English skills I think.
