Will UC Davis rescind my admission?

I have been accepted to UC Davis as a Managerial Econ major for fall 2015. in my conditions of admission they stated “Complete all transferable in progress or planned courses with a GPA of 2.80 or higher, with no grade less than “C,” by the end of your spring term. To achieve the minimum overall UC-transferable grade point average required, you may need to achieve higher than “C” grades.” Does this mean my spring gpa has to be a 2.8 or higher, or do I just have to do well enough for my overall gpa to be a 2.8 or higher? I am enrolled in 13 units and currently have a 2.92 this semester. I’m not in danger of failing any of my classes but I am on the border of dropping a letter grade in 2 of them which will drop my spring gpa below a 2.8. My overall gpa is a 3.19 with 54 units completed so I am not too concerned about it falling below a 2.8 but I am pretty concerned about my spring gpa. I will try my best to maintain my current spring grades but if I happen fall below a 2.8 (say 2.5-2.7), how likely is it that Davis will rescind my admission?

I have heard from my CC counselor and some friends who attend Davis that they are pretty lenient with transfer admissions but I just want to get some insight from a few more people. Thank you.

I think it means 2.8 for your spring term.

I actually have a 3.2 GPA & my provisional agreement says to keep a 3.2 in my courses. The thing is, when I initially checked my coursework overview they messed up on a couple courses and had my GPA listed as 3.05. I’m thinking its pretty impossible to change a 3.05 to a 3.2 with one semester, so I think they mean just one semester’s worth of grades, not the overall.

You should go ahead and contact admissions right now! I think they favor people who ask them about this kind of stuff before the fact instead of after.

Pretty sure it’s your entire cumulative transfer GPA, 2.8 overall. I would ask them to make sure, however.
