I got accepted to UC Davis by way of TAG. The conditions of the TAG included having a GPA of atleast 3.2. My GPA after this Spring semester could possibly drop to a 3.15. Will they revoke my admission if this were to happen? Is this a serious issue or something I should not worry too much about? My major is economics. And because I tagged does that mean they didn't look at my application as if I were to have applied without the TAG. My friend got accepted to UC Davis for Economics too, but she didn't TAG, and her GPA requirement is 2.8.

Why ask us and not Davis?

The people there are not ogres. They can help you, but what they can do (and what you can do) is going to be far less if you wait until they see your transcripts late this summer instead of talking with them now, and again once final grades are in. As they said in their alumni magazine
Every day you post here is a day lost in taking real action to address your situation.

yea I was going to call UC Davis, but I talked with a counselor at my community college today and she said if I were you I wouldn’t ask UC Davis questions. She said to just try my best and wait and see til final grades are posted and then if there are any problems contact UC Davis. She also said that it would be rare for UC Davis to revoke my admission if I were to receive say like a 3.15 because its not worth their time or the trouble to revoke it or something like that. Should I be listening to this lady? Does anyone know how strict UC Davis is on GPA and TAGS and stuff?

I think your TAG will be revoked. Remember, the TAG is a contract and the provisions have been clearly presented to you. I tagged for Man. Econ and was told to maintain a 3.2+. Counselors are wrong all the time. Mikemac is 100% correct in that you should contact UC Davis asap. Being proactive gives off a better vibe and they will try to help you. I’ve contacted UC Davis many times and their admissions office is extremely helpful.
