Will UCLA rescind me? Please help!

I realize that on the UCLA website, UCLA will revoke your acceptance if your total senior year unweighted GPA falls below 3.0.

First Semester Grades
Calc BC- B
AP Bio- A
AP English Literature- A
AP Government- B

Second Semester Grades
Calc BC- B
AP Bio- B
AP English Literature- C
AP Government- B

Hmmm, you took calculus BC but have trouble calculating a GPA out of the above grades?

Your GPA during your senior year isn’t below a 3.0, so why are you asking this question?

Are you sure you were accepted to UCLA?

As a matter of fact, yes I was accepted to UCLA.
I’m sorry, I just was not sure if UCLA was considering the average of both semester GPAs or each semester.

According to the UCLA website, "a copy of your Provisional Admission Contract was included with your letter of admission. "

What does the Provisional Admission Contract say about GPA requirements?

The way I read your comment, I just assumed that UCLA looks at your total GPA for your senior year (not each individual semester). Is that true? What is the exact wording in the admissions letter?

“You must complete the senior year academic classes listed on your application with at least a minimum overall unweighted B average.”

That is what it says on the website. Thank you so much! My mom and I are really freaking out.

I just found this post on a yahoo answers Q&A… It’s from two years ago from a Ms. Sun.

"To satisfy your provisional acceptance agreement for Berkeley and UCLA, you must

 1. maintain your senior year a-g course schedule as recorded on your UC application,
 2. maintain at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA for each semester, and
 3. not receive any D or F grades."

Assuming this source is correct, UCLA could definitely rescind your offfer because of your second semester grades.

Okay, thank you.

The way you describe it, they look at your total grades. However, I googled “Ms. Sun”, and she doesn’t seem like a flakey resource.

I would contact UCLA Admissions immediately and confirm your interpretation of the statement on the website.

UCLA Admissions is so flakey too! Sigh, thank you though.
