Hi I do not know if it is possible for me to be accepted into the University of Michigan. I have read a lot of "chance me" posts and most of you guys have about 5-9 AP classes. My school does not offer any AP classes to its students. I take the hardest classes we have (Calc, Physics, English 121 etc) and am speaking with my counseler (sp?) about dual enrolling. I will be taking University of Michigan Dearborn classes while in High School. Will this be enough? I fear that UM will feel I do not have a rigorous shedule. Any thoughts on what they'll think?

My current stats:
GPA 3.9
ACT Score in Progress
Good ECs
Minority (Palestinian) not born in US

Well, AP classes are supposed to be college-level courses, so if you dual enroll at a nearby college and do well, you’ll be fine. College will also see that your school doesn’t offer AP

You’re considered within the context of your school, so having APs won’t be a problem at a school that doesn’t offer them.

Taking the hardest classes offered and doing well in them is what UMich is looking for. Taking college classes through dual-enrollment will help boost the rigor of your courseload, but you’ll be fine either way.

If you do well on your ACT and UMich likes your ECs, your GPA and courseload should be plenty for UMich. I’d say you definitely have a chance.
