Will UofM defer my EA application to see how I do in much harder senior-yr schedule?

My junior year schedule was:
Hon English 11
Hon Physics
Hon Precalc
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
AP World History

Senior year schedule:
AP Calculus AB
AP English Literature
AP Physics C Mechanics
AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
AP Microeconomics

So will they? Is it common for colleges to do so?
Thank you.

I got all A’s btw first three years…

Are you a junior now and a senior next year? I am assuming as much. If you apply under UMich’s EA program in the Fall, you will receive a decision by a specified date in mid-Dec which will be either admit, deny, or deferred. If deferred you can thereafter submit mid-year grades.

Sorry I should have clarified. My junior year is almost over and I’m certain I’ll keep getting A’s. So yes I am going to be a senior next fall and will be applying EA to the UofM. I just want to know if this is a common reason of deferrals.

My D had a similar schedule and was accept EA to Michigan.

Colleges don’t defer because of the schedule, they defer because they aren’t sure about the student. Maybe the GPA is borderline, or something like that. But no, a hard schedule wouldn’t do it.

^Thank you. That’s exactly what I wanted to know.
