I was waitlisted at Boulder for engineering.
Would visiting the school increase my chances of getting off the waitlist? I know some schools says that LOCI and such dont make a difference for them.

Probably not although I would sent a LOCI if you haven’t already. Did they offer pre engineering?
Uhh not sure. I applied for general engineering with a 32 ACT (33 STEM), and all they told me in my decision was that I was waitlisted
Sounds like the Engineering school is close to full, and they’re waiting to see how many of the accepted students enroll. I would send a LOCI and mention how you will enroll the immediately if you’re taken off the waitlist.
Also, I would start making other plans. You never know how deep the waitlist is.
Noted. I’m doing the accepted students visits at Buffalo and RIT this weekend and will likely commit to one of the two afterwords.
In regard to the LOCI, when do you reccomend I send it? Also, you don’t think saying I’d enroll immediately would come across as desperate?
You can send the LOCI anytime. You can say something like “if accepted I would attend” if that is the case.
You do have two fine options so congratulations on that!
