Will you upload a resume? (asking prospective/current Princeton students)

Hi guys,

For your Princeton application, did any of you upload a resume? I’ve already elaborated on some of my activities in Additional Info, but not sure if I should still attach a resume anyway since Princeton offered us the chance to. If you are/did, did you guys mainly elaborate on your activities/honours listed in the common app, or were they to include things you didn’t get to cover in the Common App?

You should not upload a resume if you are just repeating items. If you used the Additional Info section to properly elaborate on activities because the Activities section limitations prevent it then a resume may not be necessary. On the other hand you could move all that info in Additional Info to a resume and eliminate it. My D used the Additional Info section to elaborate her research and her Senior Capstone project.

My son (Princeton class of 2020) did both, used the Additional Info and uploaded a 2 page “condensed” resume.

@psywar did his resume in any way overlap or repeat stuff he already mentioned in his CA and/or additional info?

@Harvardbound2017 It did overlap in some areas, but it gave him just a little more opportunity to flesh out some of his more esoteric ECs

My daughter (current freshman at Princeton) uploaded a rather dramatic photo of herself on a mountain peak during one of her races, as a means of illustrating what obstacles were faced in that particular unusual hobby.

She used the additional info section to further explain her educational path (homeschooling via a public charter school).
