William and Mary admission?

Hi, I'm a junior at a regional high school of ~1,400 in Massachusetts
The College of William and Mary is my dream school! I was wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me what they think of my chances for getting in? I'm out of state.

I have never gotten below a B, but my sophomore grades were mostly Bs because I missed about 3 months of school due to an illness. My teachers in math and science weren't sure that I would make it through the year without missing school, so they didn't recommend me for honors classes. I'm doing well now, and don't foresee missing any school. I have only missed 1 day this year.

What should I do to improve?

Thank you!!!

Oh, and I took the SAT in october and got a 2130

Okay… You are in! Not that I am in a position to admit you, but looks great to me.

It is a little harder to get into William and Mary from out of state, because it is a state university and they like to limit admissions. That is probably your biggest obstacle.

Even so, forget the chances and apply. This is your dream. GO FOR IT!

But, also choose at least three back up schools that you like and believe will accept you.

William & Mary OOS: high match

I think you’re a match, you GPA is fine and your SAT score is good. The only thing i would do is try to get a leadership position in one of your clubs.

High match. Like sloth83 said, try to get a leadership position. I also suggest to focus on your essays, and make sure you have good content. Good luck!

@izzieT W&M is a high match for you. Be sure to explain in your essays what illness you had that kept you out for so long. Best of luck!

Chance me back: <a href=“**Chance me for good and rising Northeast schools ** - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1612160-chance-me-for-good-and-rising-northeast-schools-p1.html</a></p>

You’re probably a high match! Those are some very impressive academic credentials. Being out of state is tough, but you would have the resume to be accepted! Try and get some more leadership experience and you should be good!

A little advice when you apply, do the supplement essay and have fun when you write it. Write about you! And if at all possible, interview at the college; it’s really fun
