William and Mary Transfer

I am a current freshman at Virginia Tech and I absolutely hate it. When I applied to Tech as a high school senior, I had no intentions on going however they gave me a half tuition scholarship for my first year which I could apply for subsequent semesters. So I am trying to transfer to William and Mary and looking for someone to chance me? I'm applying for the fall semester.
High school stats:
SAT: 1880
GPA: 3.93 w 3.80 uw
Two Varsity letters: Crew and Swimming
Swimming: 1 year
Crew: 2 years
President of Model UN
Most valuable MUN member 2014
One of the founding members of our MUN
AP Scholar w/ Distinction
Summer Governors School for Humanities 2013
National Honor Society

College:
My projected GPA for this semester is a 3.66
Unfortunately I'm only involved in one extracurricular, the feminist organization, at my school but I'm also looking to volunteer.
I was also a participant in a graduate research project
My current major is international studies and I intend to major in International Relations at William and Mary.
Thanks

I forgot a few extracurriculars:
Latin Club- 1 year
Journalism-Public Relations Manager

Take advantage of the organizations at Tech and extracurriculars you are interested in while you are there. I could see why W&M may be a better fit for you in terms of academics - their IR program is especially strong - however you should know that it is an intensive major and if you are heading in that direction there are some courses you should be looking at taking. The IR major at W&M is econ-intensive compared to other schools so you will want to have taken macro and micro before the end of this year. As an IR major, it is good idea to keep up your proficiency in a foreign language, as that is another major component of the program. If you decide that it is not the direction you want to head, W&M has a global studies major as well. Admissions recommends a 3.5 or higher for transfers and if you have a 3.66 or so then you are heading in the right direction.

Here are some other general course suggestions by W&M admissions, though I am not sure how it may apply to entering students next year because the general education system is changing.

Best of luck with your application!

What do you hate about tech?
