I know schools like W&M can be all over the place with admissions but I just want an idea of where I stand

I am:
Senior
Female
White

4.367 Weighted GPA
About 3.8 unweighted GPA
3rd in my class of 255
590 Reading SAT
730 Math SAT
620 Writing SAT
1940 Composite SAT
I took the October 6 SAT. I think my reading should be up around 650. Hopefully a similar score at least in writing.

Activities:
Art Club (freshman year)
Art Show volunteer (3 years)
Newspaper staff (senior year)

(Yeah, I know. "Weak". Boo-hoo.)

**I am in a merit-based magnet school where I take my math and science classes. College level and college credit.

Thankfully, I am in-state. And the magnet school is what I’m hoping would put me up there where I would have a good chance. I know someone there has to have heard of it before considering students from it are accepted at W&M every single year. Plus, there are 18 VDOE magnet schools in the state on varying subjects. Of course, mine is no Maggie Walker or Thomas Jefferson but it’s still good.

In state at W&M = reach with current reading SAT and weak ECs. But need more informaiton re curriculum becuase that plays a huge role in W&M’s assessment. Are you taking the most challenging curriculm at your school including calculus A?B (or high level math), a language, and a science AP senior year?

My magnet school takes care of my math and science and they’re community college Calculus, Marine & Environmental Science (Oceanography credit), and Physics. It’s kinda DE but kinda not. This is my third year in the program so I’ve been taking the highest available math and core science courses my school has access to plus the environmental science which is a science elective where my high school is concerned.
I’m sorry if the magnet school thing is confusing. It’s really hard to explain. It’s long and complicated because I love it so much that I can’t explain it without going off on a tangent. But it involves everything from mandatory environmental field trips to a senior project where our teacher holds us the standards of a scientific journal. And throws markers if we try to use the words “proof” and “prove” or anything to do with accepting a hypothesis. He’s drilled those so far into our heads that we cringe when people talk about accepting hypotheses or scientific proof.

I am not taking a language because with my schedule I could not take Spanish 4. (Magnet school conflict). I am taking AP English & AP Government. And Mass Media because it was one of the only classes available where I had an empty slot. The options were pretty much Mass Media or study hall.

I can explain the no ECs by the fact that my school has nothing to interest me as I’m no athlete (Not that our “athletes” are. Our sports teams are a joke. The only team that’s good is cheer but that’s not even a sport.) and I have no transportation.

Thanks for the clarifications re your magnet school. If you bump up to 650 CR as expected, then I think you are a high match (above 50%, but would consider using ED here if W&M absolutely your top choice).
