William & Mary Class of 2019 ED Applicants Discussion

I just want to know at this point. The wait is sickening. I thought this week was a given, but the thought that it could be NEXT week? Ahh

@Runnergirl76 They released on the first Friday of December last year and that was with a postponed Common App deadline. I really doubt they’ll release next week! I think they just want to give themselves that cushion of time in case things go awfully wrong.

NEW article on blog: <a href=“Overheard in Transfer Committee - Spring Transfer Edition - The William & Mary Blogs”>http://wmblogs.wm.edu/admiss/overheard-in-transfer-committee-spring-transfer-edition/</a>
posted minutes ago.

Why are they combining Freshmen and Transfer decision-making – together?

I think that is entirely new – for this year. (Or maybe I missed it before.)

I always thought that Transfers were considered just a little bit later in the process.

That may be part of the hold-up this year … (versus 2008 – along with the increased number of applications since then).

^seems to indicate that they are just about done with ED applicants, and now just transfer applicants.

@ribbonroad224‌ what do you “go horribly wrong”?

And what i found interesting in the new blog article @Michigan4435‌ is that they said they start transfer committee AFTER they end ED committee. “As one committee ends, another begins. As we wrap up with early decision commuter and move forward with transfer…” THEN they said “here’s what was overheard in transfer committee today.” So from that i gather they are DONE with ED committee. Thats a good sign haha, cant be too much longer now :)

Just waiting for that rejection email any time now…

…and btw, it’s very hard to keep a straight face with everyone writing “ED.” lol

so do people think decisions are tomorrow??

Last year they posted the spring transfers discussion after they had already released the ED results. I hope they come tomorrow!

My guess is tomorrow, if not later tonight!

I’m guessing tomorrow at 5 PM, but it could be tonight…

…most scared I’ve ever been. I’ve been dreaming about looking at that email header since 9th grade, and if it doesn’t say “Good Things” or “Good News,” I’ll know my journey is up.

Would they send them this late? I think I read somewhere that Admissions is only open 9-5, but I wonder if there’s an exception when decisions get sent out. If not, I wish they’d just tell us “not tonight” so I could take a break from the refresh button for a few hours :stuck_out_tongue:

@frizzy I don’t think they’ll send them this late. Take a break from the internet, read a good book or something haha :)

Exactly @ribbonroad224 ! I am trying to keep myself busy with other things so the time flies by! I think there is a good chance that the results will be released tomorrow or the following day, especially since the committee is now looking at transfer applications. I believe they wanted to reserve early this week for finishing up the last applicants and to make sure everything was good to go. I wish everyone the best

I’d go with Wednesday 5:00

W&M Admissions reply to a question on the blog post about whether or not ED committee has finished:
“for the most part yes but there’s still some ongoing ED review and a multitude of final steps in progress to complete the entire ED process.”

I doubt the rest of the ED process would take more than a day or two.

Tomorrow between 3:00 and 5:30 probably is when they will come out. I already know I got rejected though. My bones don’t lie!

yes, i also think that they will email decisions/ post in the Admit it! Blog tomorrow. It can’t be much longer! I am excited and hopeful to hear back!!

It’s kind of funny…if I get rejected, I will be the class of 2018 due to associates degree guaranteed admission, and if I get accepted I will be class of 2019. Take that! lol
