<p>Haha indeed!! AHH</p>
<p>Wait I still have not gotten my decision letter. I got the email saying that my application was complete but I still have not gotten my decision email.</p>
<p>You get a letter only if you were accepted.</p>
<p>If you never got an email you need to call admissions.</p>
<p>Questions: Did the css profile have a deadline? Can it still be turned in?</p>
<p>I got accepted into George Mason (non-binding)? Do I have to explicitly call the school to withdraw or something?</p>
<p>Plus, do I have to remove my uncompleted applications on common app?</p>
<p>@jjjj16 The CSS profile deadline was Dec 12, although I have no idea whether or not you can still turn it in. You need to email GM and tell them to withdraw your application. I withdrew my applications from both UVA and VCU via email and they used my email asking how to withdraw as proof of my withdrawal. You don’t have to cancel your uncompleted applications, as they haven’t actually been sent out and will not be sent out unless you hit send (which you probably won’t do).</p>
The acceptance rate for W&M deferrals is NOT the same as it is for those applying RD. It’'s about 10%. That you did not get accepted with a 40-50% chance, means that it’s going to be a long shot at 10%. I strongly suggest looking at other less competitive schools if so deferred. Nice if you are in that small group who will get accepted, but bear in mind the odds.
@cptofthehouse Just because you did not get into W&M by no means you have to “try less competitive schools”
College admissions is a lottery, if the adcoms does not think you are a fit, maybe you are elsewhere. One of my son’s friends wanted to go to W&M a year after him badly, but he was denied outright.
He got in to CMU, and Cornell and Columbia, perhaps the adcoms new he would get in there and have a better experience for him
ACCEPTED TODAY
Well Friday, but I commit today
I applied ED with y’all last year and didn’t get in. Just submitted an application for round 3 of review! Wish me luck! Williamsburg or bust!
