It is tomorrow (or not it is today) at midnight.

@jjjj16

@hillsnow Thanks for the verfication

So, I’ve been ready to submit the application for sometime now, but one of the two teachers I requested to write the recommendation hasn’t sent hers in (even though I’ve reminded her a thousand times). If I submit it without it, will they accept the recommendation after the deadline and if yes, how would I go about getting it to William and Mary?

Read this nice post from William and Mary:
<a href=“Hit the Submit Button, Not the Panic Button - The William & Mary Blogs”>http://wmblogs.wm.edu/admiss/hit-the-submit-button-not-the-panic-button/

It should answer that question some :)

@hillsnow Thank you very much. That really helped a lot and I’m glad William and Mary is understanding. I think i’m just gonna submit it without the letter and see if I can send it in sometime this week. I just would’ve been some much easier for all components to be together. I don’t know if you know the answer to this question, but can a teacher still submit a letter through common app after I’ve clicked final submit?

The answer is they will accept it. I think if it’s through the common app, they get it that way. If your worried, you can give the teacher an addressed and stamped envelope and have them mail it. Once you submit your application, William and Mary will give you a ID number to put on things you send to them after the deadline.

Yes, the Common app states the teacher can submit it after you have submitted an application.

Sorry if i’m asking a lot of questions; but for sending my sat scores, is it wise using the score choice? The results of my first SAT is already on my transcripts, but i scored my highest points for all sections of the SAT I just took in October. Since William and Mary super scores and since they are participants in the College Board’s score choice, I feel it would be useless( and a waste of money) sending the scores from my first test.

That is one thing I really like about William and Mary. They really care about all of their applicants and students; they take that extra step that not every college does. I look forward to more of their posts :).
Mm I would just send the October SAT since those are your highest! I personally sent my October sat and my May sat because my writing score went down 30 points but math and reading went up. Just send whatever combination is the highest @jjjj16

I just got my email saying William and Mary has all of my required components and my application is ready to be read :). I can’t wait until December!

I got into my first college today! Virginia Commonwealth University

Congratulations! @ribbonroad224 I will not hear anything from any of my colleges until December!

@hillsnow Haha thank you! This college is a safety so, while I am happy to have gotten in, then news wasn’t that big of a thrill hahaha. I’m waiting until December (for W&M as well, of course).

Does anyone know the span of time that letters go out? on blogs from earlier years, it seemed like most letters were sent in about 3 days. Some years in which ED was extended saw longer waits. When can we expect to hear?

From what I’ve seen in other threads – a few years ago – they began sending email notifications (followed by snail mail). The complication this year, from what I understand, is that Thanksgiving falls so late in the review cycle.

Therefore, it’s not clear whether they will be able to meet the December 1st email (as they’ve done in other years).

Thanks! I know there’s no way it could be this early, but my heart starts thumping every time I get an email from the admissions office. Just had me wondering when exactly I could expect to hear.

The email you want to see in your inbox at that time – will have “Good Things” in the subject line.

Good luck to you!

Good to know! I just got my acceptance letter from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities! It’s a safety, but still feels good!

@daniil450 Congratulations!!! :)
