William & Mary Class of 2019 ED Applicants Discussion

Kind of weird that we could be seeing each other in person in about 9 months if we get accepted! Good luck to all!

My 1360 SAT (2070 overall) is definitely making me nervous.

@jpvn2015 Your SAT is right in the middle of the mid-50 range, so don’t worry about it! Additionally, they will be reviewing much more than that one score. :)

@ribbonroad224 Haha very true. Best of luck :)

My son applied the last week of Oct. He does gymnastics. So few colleges have men’s gymnastics programs its fiercely competitive to get in. W&M is his first choice (mine too to be honest). Fingers crossed and MANY prayers said. Good luck to all!

How many of you guys are out of state? my SAT’s and essays are good, but I feel my being out of state and being just shy of top 10% is holding me back the most…

<a href=“It's Almost Committee Time - The William & Mary Blogs”>http://wmblogs.wm.edu/admiss/its-almost-committee-time/</a></p>

At what point does this wait get easier?

Ahh we’re so close. Just found out earlier this week that i got into Tulane and received one of the scholar awards, and although it’s a safety, it is pretty exciting!!

@0blondie2 Congratulations! :)

Does anyone know (predict) when the decisions will come out??

@coco5945 The first week of December. From previous blog posts I’ve read, they have released before on Nov. 30, but, seeing as Nov. 30 is on a Sunday this year, I gather we’ll hear sometime Dec. 1-5.

<a href=“Overheard in Committee - 2014 Early Decision Edition - The William & Mary Blogs”>http://wmblogs.wm.edu/admiss/overheard-in-committee-2014-early-decision-edition/</a></p>

“we will be in committee until we break for the holiday and likely will finish up some Early Decision review when the holiday is over. While we cannot speculate on a date for a decision release (we will blog on that soon) it will not be by December 1. Our early December release timeline is still on track.”

Guys this is so nerve wracking! I’m out of state (NY), 32 ACT, bunch of volunteer and extra circulars, interviewed, and applied ED. Hb you guys?! Let’s get to know each other! Can’t wait until we get to hear back :-S

@Excitedforschool Which part of NY? I used to live in Buffalo haha (ages ago). What do you volunteer as?

Hudson valley area (45 mins out of NYC), you hear the amount of snow Buffalo got over the past few days? Like 7 feet! Where do you live now? And I did about 2-3 years of volunteering at the hospital, ambulance corp., and planned parenthood for my area. Hbu?

@Excitedforschool Haha yeah, I’m pretty jealous actually. I live in VA now where it doesn’t snow much. I volunteer at the hospital and the library, and used to tutor an elementary school student.

@Excitedforschool If you don’t mind me asking, what made you want to go to W&M as an OOS student (considering the price is a lot steeper for OOS students)

@ribbonroad224‌ @coco5945 what did you conclude from the comment on the blog about ED notification? i didn’t really understand it. Are they releasing them Dec. 1, or later?

@Michigan4435 I think Dec. 1 is the absolute earliest that they would release but it’s very unlikely that they’ll release then. I’m predicting that they’ll release on a Friday again, but only time will tell.

@ribbonroad224‌ thanks. Also they get mailed, right? I’m OOS so after they get mailed ill have a painful couple of days until it arrives
