<p>Hello, I'm applying to several schools, but haven't heard back from any of the good ones yet. Williams, Carleton, and Bowdoin are my top 3 choices, in that order. So I suppose I'll hear back in two weeks, but that's actually way too long. So let me know how you think I'll be. And if you don't think I'll get in, just say it. I don't really expect to get into Williams anyway. But who knows, with my superb grades this semester!</p>

<p>GPA is unweighted
Grades: 8th grade (goes on our transcript cause our school is special): 92
9th grade: 88
10th grade: 92
11th grade: 93 (One AP)
12th grade first semester: 96 avg (Four APs)</p>

<p>I go to an extremely competitive public school in NYC, with no ranking system.</p>

<p>SAT 760m 710v
SAT II: US: 790, Writing: 760, Chem: 760, Math IIC: 720.</p>

<p>Extra currics:
News Managing Editor of really good HS paper (sent one along as extra material).
Other small stuff: Prez of juggling club (doesn't matter though, or shouldn't, since I didn't do anything); chorus; debate for a couple years, won something, but wasn't really that good to be honest. Bowling team (yeah, it's not a real sport, but we get to bowl for free)</p>

<p>Your numbers are high enough for Williams and certainly for the other schools.
It's all in the essay and your special talents. What did you write about?</p>

<p>Ohnine, my friend easily got into Carleton, Williams, and Macalester. She had nowhere near those SAT scores or stats. Write a good essay and you're in...hopefully...if the admissions committee isn't drunk.</p>
