Williams chance!

Hey guys, I know that the application has been finished and all I have to do wait until Dec. 15th, but still I want to know my chance to get in.
I am a Chinese. There are a lot of strong competitors in my country applying for Williams. I am quite afraid that I would be rejected.

SAT: 2120 (not a good score compared to my Chinese peers, M 780, W 700, CR 640)
SAT2: USH 800, Math 800, Phy 800
AP: USH 5, Phy B 5
TOEFEL: 111

EC: 1) Two publications, one published in a national academic magazine, the other was a of a book co-authored with some college students concerning about local history
2) Attended Harvard Summer school last year, B in US History in 1960s, C in Shakespeare (how foolish was I to pick such a course…)
3) Attended school advanced science class, in which teachers taught math, biology, chemistry and physics of college level. Students are among the 30 students picked from 650. I participated in National Math Contest and won the 3rd award
4) Attended a prehistoric cultural heritage international summit forum as a volunteer
5) Vice president of Student Union. I am in charge of organizing and supervising school journalism, competition, performances, and all the student clubs. Really accomplished a lot.
6) Founded cultural tourism and culture club at school. This one is the most meaningful job I’ve ever done.

I’m from a small city, not a metropolitan like Beijing or Shanghai.

I am not going to apply for financial aid

Thank u in advance!

Forgot some information…

 1. Organized Giving back to alma mater, in which graduates are invited to share college and work experiences
 2. Taught English in student center
 3. Employed as a commentator in a local museum
 4. Good at playing the piano and skating

Chance me please!! I will certainly chance back!!

Great chance

thank u!! Do u have any college chance? I can chance u in return

bump bump bump

You sound like a great candidate! Good luck.

thank u very much

wow, u have some amazing test scores and ECs. and thats all colleges want. i say u have a VERY good chance. dont woory about ur CR in SAT. colleges know ur international and u would have problems with it. well it wouldn;t matter cause ur better in everything else compared to americans here in america.

chance me?

buuummmp!
Any one? Please do me a favor!!

At least Williams is reachable…

Have any backup plans?

Well, I also applied Uchicago, Notre Dame, UVA and university of north carolina at chapel hill as EA.

Do you have an interest? Your schools are across the board. Your activities too.

Sorry that I cannot understand what does “your schools are across the board” mean. Could u explain it?
And what does interest refer to? The school I am most interested in or my interests? If u indicate the latter one, I’d like to say that I am good at playing the piano and skating like I listed above.
I’ve been the leader and accompanist of class chorus throughout high school, and twice selected to perform in New Year celebration as the opening show, once sole the other time duet.
There was a model competition held in my city, and I skated in the show as one of my school representatives. My school ranked the 1st in the end.

I think you have a really great chance at Williams. I live near Williams College and I know that they are very driven to promote cultural awareness and diversity in their school.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Thank u! Ur words really assure me a lot. Hope I will be admitted.
But since Williams only got 17 international students with 1 Chinese student from mainland last year for ED, I’m not sure if I am enough competitive

Where else are you applying?
There are a lot of really great schools in the area!

I’ve mentioned above about the EA schools, and I’m going to apply Dartmouth, Duke, JHU, NYUAD, Pomona, Davidson, and Oberlin

buuuummmmp

DIY, no agency.
The Williams window essay talks about antique protection. PS talks about an academic experience, and the common talks about leadership experience.
