Windsor Hall.

Off street parking- yes you can find it most times out in front of the building. However once you park it you leave it there and only move it during non class hours. If you move it during peak times you may have to drive further away from the building to find a spot. Most my kid had to go was a couple of blocks away.

Assigned Parking- The spaces are REALLY small and tight!. If you bring a new car don't be upset when your doors are all banged up.

Sketchy park within walking distance- You will constantly see bums dumpster diving at Windsor. They seem to come from the Park where the bums hang out behind the woods East? of Windsor.

Walls- Yes, the walls really are that thin.

Socials- Very lame according to my kid. Never went to any of them and neither did anyone else.

Bikes- Have a GOOD lock if you have a bike there. (see comment about bums above)

Sorority girls drunk- Never saw any.

Security deposit- Kiss it goodbye. They will keep most of it although you left the place in better condition than when you came in.

Pretty much this applies to most places in G'ville that cater to students.
There is a mentality there that it's OK to squeeze every last dollar out of UF student's because theyhave limited housing choices if they want to live near campus.

One of the best things about Windsor Hall is that you can pay for your own parking place and you have the convenience of your car right there with you by the building and you never have to look for a place to park. The buildings are very pretty, nice pool, work out room, very nice clean laundry rooms and the location is great....very convenient to campus- walking or riding a bike or taking the bus. I can't speak for the coed dorm but the girls dorm is very quiet. Management is very cooperative and building is always clean. Compared to the on campus dorms Windsor is definitely a luxury dorm.

Thanks for the additional information xNYer. Oh, but when I said "social" I didn't mean a get together so much as people from other rooms interacting with each other. I hear many on-campus dorms have an "open door" atmosphere, where people are able to know most of the people on their floor.

How social the floor is would depend on the individuals living on it. Their floor was not social at all.
