Congratulations lulu32 I would like to ask that should I call the college of engineering to ask whether they received my documents or just the normal admission contact number? I am applying as a engineering transfer for winter 2014

They are not going to be able to tell you if you don’t have your UM ID btw. I tried calling yesterday and ran into that problem.

I am actually looking at a house on south campus right now. I definitely can not afford living in the dorms another year. Haha. And I’m not sure about the orientation. I haven’t seen anything yet about it. All I know is I have to pay a $300 enrollment fee

So therefore I have to keep wait until I get my umid before calling them to ask about whether they have received my documents or not? I called the general admission office and told them my first name and last name. They told me that my name is not in their database. Then another guy from the live chat session told me to contact the engineering admission because I am applying as engineering transfer. Is it true that I should contact them?

I guess so. Seems really stupid…

Guys, There is a problem with the new commonapp, and Umich cannot download the applications right now because of it. I have been told that only the people who applied before, and just updated their application to winter are getting replies. I hope this helps :D

That explains a lot… Hope they fix it asap!! Thanks Umer94. Thats why I was wondering what they are doing without downloading my recommendations and stuff… All the other schools I applied to have done so on the very first few days of the month. :D

Hi guys, it’s written downloaded on 9 of October on my registrar report. Does that mean that umich has already downloaded my application?

Yes same here. I think they finally figure it out! :P

Hi, it’s written started on my recommendations but for registrar report previously it’s written submitted. I am just wondering is it alright for it to be started instead of submitted for recommendations. What about you?

Thats weird since my rec were “started,” “submitted” then now “downloaded.” You might wanna check with your recommenders?

i am having a trouble with my academic evaluator as well, i assigned my professor and it says that my rec is started, but it does not say that it is submitted? my common app + supplements were submitted about 2 weeks ago, but my academic evaluator still says only “started”???

Same here chickenfried. It only says started, I have no idea why :(

Guys, there is a problem with commonapp, because my instructor told me that he submitted it on 15th of September.

Greetings!
I suggest that everyone contact their assigned evaluators/recommenders to make sure they completed the online form and clicked “Submit.” Double checking cannot hurt! The director of my tutoring program, an individual that always gives extreme attention to detail, accidentally missed a section on the form. My letter status has been “Started” since September 17. Thankfully, I read this thread and emailed my director. After being asked to double check the online recommendation form, my director successfully submitted my letter this morning. The status of my letter now reads, “submitted.” Now Admissions just needs to finally download my application and email me with a confirmation… :(

i called today and the only people that who have got responses thus far are those who have previous applied, i was told that the apps are starting to be uploaded today and responses should come out within 4-6 weeks. those who applied earlier will get a response sooner

also one of my profs said that she started the rec but could not finish it or something bcuz she has like a 5 year old computer and he adobe wasnt uploaded? anyways i didnt want to bug her anymore so i just asked another prof

Note for anyone applying, do not list your apartment/house at your university(even if it’s in Michigan) as your permanent address. I did so, and on my wolverine access they’re trying to list me as an out of state applicant, but I have lived in Michigan for 16 years, went to high school here, etc. So now I need to fill out a bunch of forms and send them in. Just a warning!

Hi guys, i just got my umich id and i have my wolverine access. but on my application page, its empty on the transcript and everything. is it like that?

thes1tuation, yes list your home address as the permanent one and dorm/apartment as a temporary mailing address. This way u should be able to handle it

Gohwaikien, when did u submit ur application? Hope I can get mine SOON!

i submitted my application on 16 of september, i mailed in on around that date, but i just got my umich id. in the application status, it’s empty no documents are shown. is it like that?
