I honestly don’t believe I have a chance anymore because of my “low” GPA which is due to two B’s I received in Physics.

From what I have gathered HS grades wont matter it has been too long. I also have a first attempt at college that I dropped out of that is full of WF and WPs and a low GPA but is still only from 2007. I am hoping they look at my post navy work and not worry about what I did 8 years ago.

Applying to LSA for computer science from MSU College of Engineering

The biggest thing that I have gathered from these threads is that UMich loves to see upward trends. I’ve read stories about people that have had a semester with W’s and low grades, but turned it around and because of their obvious increase in grades and determination, they were accepted. But if you do get rejected, just reapply for Fall 2015 when you have 50 or more credits.

College GPA: 3.96 from an American community college
College Credits: 48 at the moment, but I’ll have 65 after this upcoming fall semester.

College Credits: 60 credits by the end of fall semester, I’m taking 16 credits for fall '15 but I’m kinda worried because my two Women’s and Gender Studies classes (3 credits each) won’t transfer (for my minor). Will they still consider it when looking at my course rigor?
HS GPA: 4.043543

Applying to LSA, I have one C on my transcript and that was Calc 2 my first semester. Other than that I have All A’s and a B+ I think. I applied during high school and was deferred, wait listed, then rejected. I’m pretty confident with my essays and I know they are a heck of a lot better compared to the first time I applied. What do you think?

@Fatsquirrel What program did you transfer into? I was told that engineering requires so many classes (physics 1&2, Chem in&organic, calc 1-4, etc.) and was also told that those applying to LSA need 60 credits. However, I personally know 2 people that transferred in after their first year without 60 to LSA. I was wondering if I should apply LSA or EGR. I’m studying ChemE, but would transfer out of LSA obviously, if I choose to attend/get accepted.
