i got it for winter, which i presume is january not september, u think i can still take some classes at a local cc and get some credits? inbetween summer and january?

bleh i got winter too.
i think we can
a) take cc courses and get some credits
b) do ucsd extension program
c) appeal for fall quarter

and yah it's for january

tell more more about this extension program, what do you do?

okay so i called the admissions office this morning and found out some info.

you can take community college courses and then just transfer them over when winter quarter starts around like january 6th.

extension courses are actual ucsd courses. they give you the same credit as a community college course would give you, but the curriculum is better preparation for you to join ucsd a quarter behind.
the extension program is also more expensive and you would have to have off campus housing.

that sux man, do you know if they give u admit to fall quarter and housing if there's space later on????, i don't like the idea of this winter quarter acceptance thing they do, they should either accept/reject, anyways regarding the UC app like back in november, i ranked the colleges from greatest want to least want from 1-6, getting revelle was weird cause i had ranked it 6, was it the other way around? did i seriously make a mistake on my app?

wow no clue. i ranked muir as like 3rd and that's what i got.
yah you're right this winter thing sucks.
the point cut off for fall was 7421 this year. usually it's around 7000.
the point cut off for winter quarter was 7356.

so it's just a matter of around 50 points -_-.

revelle is the most selective from what i heard. so chances are, you might get fall selection into another college. it's not unheard of for you to receive a phone call or email where another college like sixth offers you admission for fall quarter!

are you sure man? fall selection into another college? when do you find out?

i'm a girl. not a man. lol
the admissions office lady told me this morning that you have to matriculate or accept the winter quarter admission before they consider you for alternate colleges. it's a wait list thing.
they look at how many people reject admission to sd and then at how many winter quarter people there are and if there's room to replace the fall quarter people who reject sd.

i have no effing clue when we might find out =P.
this wait list thing is driving me insane.

"im not a girl , not yet a woman".. lol anyways, it seems pointless for accepting the winter admission for considering to getting into the alternate colleges, what if it doesnt happen??, that means that sending in the letter of intent means i have to go to ucsd no matter what?

????????????does anybody know??????????????
