I tranfered this winter quarter with 80 credits as a Sophomore.
I signed up for classes in relation to my major but I need another class to
make it 15 cr. I need to take I&S class but there aren't any interesting classes
I want to take. I don't want to take just some random class to fill in the space.
So I was thinking of maybe taking just two classes this quarter and for spring
I'll take 15 cr. when I have a higher chance of getting into the classes that I really want.
Is this a good idea? Is there a big difference between being a part time student
and full time student?
Can anyone recommend I&S class that is currently open?

Is there a big difference between full time and part time?

Well, it can affect financial aid and scholarships if you receive any. You’re also not getting your money’s worth for your tuition. It’s up to you whether or not you want to be full time or part time, though. If you have a lot of extra money, part time can be fine.

I’m a transfer student too, so I don’t know the types of I&S classes that UW offers. However, if there are particular classes you are interested in but which are full, I suggest not giving up. All of the classes I wanted were full for Fall quarter, but I got into them by refreshing the Enrollment Summary page (not the Time Schedule page, which isn’t real time) for each of those classes. People often drop classes, so you still have a good chance of getting into them.
