winter transfer

Hi, I am going to be a college freshmen at the University of Michigan-Dearborn this upcoming Fall. Actully, I am currently taking 2 summer advance classes. I also expect to recieve 27 Credits for UofM though my IB tests.

I want to transfer into Ann Arbor for the Winter of 2007. First, is this even possible? I will have 18 college credits, and 27 IB credits by the end of the Fall 2006 term for a total of 45 Credits. All of my coursework is transferrable.

In high school, I had a 32 on my ACT, and my UMich GPA was 3.6 I believe, but at Dearborn they weight it, and it was 4.4.

If I apply say within the first week of the release of the application on August 2nd, do I have a shot?

any idea???

looks like you have a good chance of getting in

so it IS possible to transfer into the winter of ones freshmen year then?

It is if enough students drop out and open up space for you. However, it's easier to get in for the fall semester because there are much more spaces for transfer applicants.

It is not possible to transfer into the winter quarter if its your freshman year as the university will not be able to review your fall semester transcript.

Why didn't you apply to michigan for the fall of 2006? You would have had a really good chance of getting in.

i did....and i didnt get in....bix mix up wit my ACT scores....they arent exactly apologetic.....but things happen....gotta move on

i will have my summer semester grades though.....
