With my EFC, how much aid can I expect as a transfer student to UCSD?

I recently visited the UCSD campus and I absolutely want to go there. I'm currently attending a community college in the area, and my goal is to transfer there as a sophomore, so that I can take advantage of the last year of the TAG program (I'll have the 60 transfer credits by this Spring). The only drawback is that I've heard the UCs really suck when it comes to their financial aid packages, which is a huge factor for me in choosing a school as my family's EFC is only $720. With that EFC, what kind of financial aid package am I realistically going to be looking at? Am I wasting my time here, and should I just look at other (private) schools instead that offer more aid?
I already turned down an acceptance to an expensive private school because they didn't offer me enough aid, so I just want to have realistic expectations about UCSD as an option for me.

Any advice or insight would be much appreciated! :)

Probably full cal grant, pell grant, ucsd grant which comes out to be about 20k total
the rest of the financial aid package would be a mix of sub and unsub loans.

My EFC turned out to be $313 (though this was as an independent student with no income and only $2000 or so in savings). I was awarded $16500 in grants from the university, a Pell Grant of $5300, work study of $2070, and federal loans of $6700 (5500 sub, 1200 unsub).

Transfer students, from what I have heard, get shafted at private universities when it comes to financial aid packages, so UCSD should be a much better option financially.

Awesome, thank you so much!
