with no ap or ib classes, are my ivy league chances ruined?

my school does NOT have ANY ib or ap classes, are my chances ruined?

No. You are evaluated on making the most of your available opportunities.
That said, you have options beyond your school:
1) AP online classes
2) AP residential summer programs
3) classes at a local community college

no....they won't count that against you.

can you take ib classes online?

There are some privates in my area that do not offer APs. The students that I know there are not AP crazy like people on CC and they do not self study APs or take community college classes. They use their free time for ECs. The only catch is that the schools still have very rigorous courses which are as hard, if not harder than AP classes at my public high school.

Look at the kids in your school who were admitted to Ivies and top schools. They had the same academic opportunities you do. They were able to make it work and so can you.

If you go to a small public that doesn't have the means to offer AP courses and doesn't have anything that will be viewed as challenging in the eyes of colleges, then you have to consider taking extra SATIIs, self studying, or taking college level classes in the summer.

write an award winning novel and your in 'like that'. No APs needed.

No. .

yes you won't get into anything because of the socioeconomic setback you were born into...

hahah no seriously that won't affect you at all, colleges know many high schools that don't have the money for APs...if you're smart and talented and wtvr you will have a shot just as good as most others...also I know people that don't have APs in their schools but are still going to be my Yale mates this fall

All you can do is take advantage of the opportunities given to you. If you can't take AP classes, it's not your fault.
