Hi,
I was accepted to Swarthmore ED and have been trying to withdraw my Yale application for a month now. I've emailed the person in the admissions office who is supposedly in charge of application withdrawal twice, and she has not gotten back to me. I tried calling the Admissions Office, and only got recorded messages that basically parroted everything on the website. Is there any way i can check to make sure my application has been withdrawn?!? I don't want my ED admission to be jeopardized because Yale failed to withdraw my application when I asked.

Your best bet would be to fax a letter to Admissions and ask for a confirmation email. Yale Admission’s fax is 203.777.6120.

Yes, fax, but I also wouldn’t stress about it too terribly much. So long as you have a record of the email you sent (that it went through to whichever address), I would assume you’re good-- it may simply be that Yale doesn’t respond to withdrawals. Congratulations, as well.

what did your Eli Account say? Either your Eli account shouldn’t exist or must show that app is withdrawn… if your withdrawal was processed…

Actually, I can’t even access the login page for my Eli account. Not sure if that’s because my account no longer exists or if there’s a problem with the website…

Your first email fullfilled your obligation. No need to do anything after that.

atolove… your app has been cancelled if you can’t log in into the Eli Account… I am pretty darn sure about that…
