withdrawing from csu to attend a cc

hi i am pre nursing and currently in my first semester of my freshman year at SDSU and so far im not liking it. I have nothing bad to say about the school it is just does not feel right. i am really homesick coming from Los Angeles and was considering withdrawing after my first semester and attending a cc and possibly transferring after i get all my GE's and pre reqs done at the cc . I would like to get some feedback and guidance to what i should do and i also want to keep nursing as my intended major. thank you

As a fellow Aztec I can only say you should do what feels right. I jumped around schools a lot. I was at South western college for a while, went to City college, then to Mesa college, UCSD, and ended up at SDSU.

If you feel that it is not yet your time to be at SDSU then its probably not your time. One thing I will tell you is that a CC is generally a cheaper alternative than a university. So if you are paying for your own education you can get a lot more done with a lot less money in a CC. However, if you are depending on financial aid CC financial aid is much less than it would be at a university.

Also, consider the harsh economic situation we are in right now. Who knows if SDSU will have to close admissions to students for a semester or two at some point in the future.

Ultimately its your choice.
