Ok Wordle folks…I got the word today…but I have to say…I tried a LOT of letter combos that were not words….and those don’t seem to count in the total number of tries…seems only real words count.
Is that what everyone else sees?

Just tried Absurdle. It is fun!
Did you read the Absurdle creator’s long explanation? Very complex: we back the game into a corner by eliminating letters until only one word is possible. I finally understood that by putting a lot of common letters in the first two lines, that I was creating a situation where only words with less common letters were left. The game seems simple to play at first, though.

Yes, I did. Absurdle seems to only really be fun if you try different words each game otherwise you’ll end up with the same result since it is backing into whatever word works with the letters left. In other words, don’t always start with “adieu” and “story”, like some people do with Wordle. Once I realized that it became much more fun. lol Probably just me being dumb at first.
I tried something last night… I’ll send you a PM so as not to bore the non Absurdle players.

I did today’s in 3 - as did H (on his own). It was shortly after midnight and I didn’t think of sharing… for official words I’m 3 for 3 at getting it in 3 tries. Seems like that should be some special award?
On the berknation site shared earlier in the thread I did quite a few more yesterday and my most common numbers of attempts is 4 (18), followed by 5 (15), and then 3 (14). I did get one with 2! That seemed quite special - aka - lucky. I also got four at 6 and missed one due to a dumb mistake of my own and not seeing a letter that should have gone in there so I chose a different one instead causing the loss.
I find it much easier to use the hard mode than the easy one.
