Ugh, so I’ve been playing all this time on the Berknation site, and the website (which was an open tab for me) is now down. Lost all my streaks. So I’m now on the NYTimes version starting fresh. Oh well…

@Sealin I’m able to access the Berknation site which I have bookmarked but not an open tab. My streak/stats are still there. Oddly though, it let me play today’s word more than once and updated my stats each time. I used the same “tries” each time to double check and it kept updating my numbers (games played and guess distribution stats).

You’re right! I just went back and reloaded the page and it was there. I don’t know what that was about! (And I duplicated my efforts on this game to load into my stats). Thanks 4kids4us!

Only had to step away once? I had to switch tasks twice. It was a day that I was happy to come up with any word, even if not the answer, with the letters I had.

I had to step away AND break my rule of unofficially using hard mode. My third guess included a previously excluded letter, but luckily helped me figure it out. 
Today was hard. I had to get a piece of paper out. I used a correct letter in the same incorrect place by mistake. Does hard mode keep you from doing that? Or just keep you from reusing wrong letters?

@tx5athome I use hard mode - I thought with hard mode, it means you must reuse any correct letters, even if in the wrong spot, in your next guess. So in other words, if you get one correct letter but in the wrong spot, you can’t use five new letters your next guess, you have to choose a word that includes the one correct letter from the previous guess.

Forgot to post this morning. Was hustling out the door.
Wordle 238 4/6 took a deliberately wrong placement to try to get other letters.
I’ve had to do that sometimes in a pinch, including today.

Sigh. I use a different 5 letter word each day. One that I like for whatever reason. Not strategic but interesting or fun for me to use as first guess.
