Work or Volunteer during summer?

I have the option to work, as a beach parking lot guide, so not exactly very impressive. Also, this job would be quite time consuming and tiresome. Im fortunate that money is not an issue, so I don’t have to work.

Do you think colleges would appreciate more if I were to spend this summer volunteering at a hospital, and other causes?

Both options would be perfectly fine.

Both are generic summer activities unless you can make something special out of them.

For college, they want to see you doing something productive with your time. Either is fine. I would suggest working and also doing some volunteering at the hospital.
