hey guys

I'm a freshmen and I'm thinking about applying for work study and what i'm looking at thru port triton are all pretty legit work like laboratory work or assistant in something. are there jobs like working in the cafe or library?

also what does it mean to have "11/12" work study?

What should i include on my resume? high school experience? clubs? leadership?

There is a filter on port triton which shows the on campus jobs which accept workstudy. It should have a scroll down menu saying “position type”.They usually include jobs in the library, bookstore, and dining halls to name a few. But also include some laboratory jobs and others.

To have 11/12 work study means that the work study amount works during the 2011/2012 school year(Fall2011-Spring2012, to be exact).

In your resume, you should try to gear it toward the type of job you want to obtain. If you have long term leadership positions, or previous work experience, that would be a plus.

And if you want to find an on-campus job, apply early and don’t be discouraged if you don’t get one on your first try. It is really competitive because most people want jobs on campus. Just keep applying and eventually you will get a job.
