Got my financial aid package today and was surprised to find work-study was not included on the list. Am I supposed to find out about it later or does this mean I simply do not get it?

I’m in the same boat as you. I got a work study from Twin Cities so I was surprised to not get one here. Maybe the income cutoff is lower?

I think when you submitted your fafsa also plays a role. There are a limited amount of work studies available, so it’s a first come, first serve thing.

After having my awards reviewed twice work-study has shown up! Along with some extra grants! So if you haven’t received it yet I’m guessing there’s a chance they might review your Financial aid and then it’ll pop up!

Did you have to call/email anyone? If so, can you let us know?

Nope, just got an e-mail 3 days after I got my original aid that said it’d been revised.

Ah. Well I emailed financial aid…missed the EFC cutoff by $400! So anyone who got a work study at another place and not Ohio State that might be your problem.

Could you tell us what the EFC cutoff is?
Thanks!

Up to $7,500.

No, it isn’t. I did not receive work study either, and thought I would as I was offered it at other schools, and OSU even had it on the net price calculator for me. I contacted them as to why I didn’t get it, and after multiple emails back and forth they said they cut it off at $1500… said that was their maximum EFC consideration this year.

Probably because they had an insane amount of applicants.
