<p>Hi! I'm going to be a freshman at Vandy next year and am interested in working for Dining. I was wondering if any upperclassmen who have worked with them would share some insight. Is it a nice working environment? Does it cut majorly into study/social/club time (I'm thinking starting at just about 8 hours per week)?</p>

<p>If you absolutely need the money then I guess do it, besides that it is a terrible work environment prolly the worst I have experienced, it cuts into your time just like any job, and I would overall not recommend it unless u really need the money</p>
<p>what makes it worse than any other food job? who doesn’t need money in college? oh, right.</p>
<p>if ur coming to vandy u will meet many who dont need money, its just not a good environment, however, a lot depends on where they place u, rand is terrible, while some of the others are ok.</p>
<p>don’t you get some decent perks with the meal plan? like if you work for dining you get x amount of dollars off of your meal plan. </p>
<p>it does not seem like fun to work for dining…seems like hell. if i really needed the money i would take an off campus job.</p>
