I'm going to be interning with the FDIC this summer and was wondering if anyone's worked there and something similar with the government and can describe their experiences.

The job is revolved around examining banks and seeing if they're in compliance with all regulations; the full-time version of this job is Financial Institution Specialist. While it sounds cool, I've heard from others than this kind of job doesn't lead to many exit opportunities, and while I'm going to try my best to get a full-time offer, I don't want to end up going this job full-time and becoming unsatisfied with no places to exit.
