caressemh, that's interesting. I run (recreationally) and lift and I find myself less bored at the gym than out running. Maybe that's just me though.

Paki, if you don't have any equipment, try pushups and diamond pushups for upper body. They helped my strength even though they didn't do much for my appearance. For core try bycycles and crunches/situps. I personally don't feel anything at all in my abs when I do crunches so I prefer situps but your mileage may vary. For legs, go to youtube and look up "pistols." You'll almost certainly need assistance at first (I can barely do one without grabbing the nearest furniture) but even attempting them works your legs quite nicely.

Haha well I really love to run recreationally (I'm in track right now; not so fun) but I have to have my ipod to keep me entertained while I'm running. But being outside in the fresh air is really relaxing and makes me feel all the better to collapse in front of the tv when I get home.

I don't mind lifting weights with friends, but by myself I just feel self-conscious and puny lifting 10lb dumbbells while everyone else is pumping serious iron!! My upper body strength really is sad...

i run...or used to run. this yr i just can't find the time to go for nice jogs anymore. i used to almost every single day. hence the tighter fitting jeans on me...grrrrr
