Worried about my essay

Ok, I have pretty good writing skills, and often can write fantastic essays, but I am quite worried about my essay for the SAT. I didn't prepare for the SAT Essay, as I took review classes for Math (should have taken writing instead), and Critical Reading.

I wrote a solid 2 page essay, 4 paragraphs (Intro, 2 body, Conclusion). However, I wasn't aware of incorporating polical examples as many people used, such as Nixon and the watergate scandal, so I didn't really have many examples that related to Historical mistakes, and such.

I did include a few personal experiences, and my essay was organized in a coherent manner, but I am worried about my lack of examples from history.

How will this effect my grade?

If i did well on the Writing section overall, but the essay was only about a 7-8, how would that change my score.

Thank You.

Using personal examples shouldn’t hurt your score as long as you use them well. If you look on the CB website, you’ll see essays with only personal examples that got 12’s.
