Worried about W's for transfer

To begin with I currently have quite a few W's (as in 6) and I know that that is pushing it. My GPA is a 3.23. Most of those W's are not part of my major nor major prep. There are 2 that are part of my major but those classes I was able to retake and have B's in.

I can explain why I had horrible grades for a almost year due to the fact that I was sick for most of 5 months until I was finally diagnosed with my disease that I was unfortunately lucky enough to have.

The UC’s that I plan to apply for are San Diego, Northridge, and Sonoma for sure and few others. But what I’m worried about are all my W’s and how they are going to affect my transfer.

I’m getting tired of school and losing my motivation because of this. I am learning what I can and can’t handle and am about almost 2 years away from transfer. I still have a long way to go and if I no longer have any W’s after this semester will these still affect my transfer?

I have heard that the UC’s don’t really look at W’s. That’s what my counselor at school told me. As long as your grade trends are fine, I wouldn’t worry.

Do you mean the state schools, SDSU, CSUN, Sonoma State? UC’s are different from CSU’s. Apply to some UC’s as well, they definitely don’t care about W’s!

@goldencud do UC’s really don’t care about W’s? i have 3 W’s this semester due to some personal problems. It freaks me out. Thanks

They don’t care about the Ws.
