Friend is worried for her kid. As a parent, not able to visualise the pink booklet or the sequence of its contents. Cant see an example sample online.. would be nice if the CC'ers who took the exam can help .

The FRQ answer pink booklet (calc) got accidentally ripped and so was just loosely kept inside the outer cover that contains the identification details WITHOUT restapling. what are the possible risks? Is it possible for the frq answers that lie loosely inside to fall off from the outside cover? Is there no barcode/identification details within the inside frq answer sheets?

Is it a cause of concern or is it a normal occurrence for the answer booklet to fall apart from the outer cover or rare? Help or suggestions please.

I’ve never read of this happening, but somebody did mention (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/927158-accidentally-ripped-page-ap-chemistry-free-reponse.html?highlight=ripped) that everything is sealed together, so the chances of it slipping out aren’t that great. Within each batch, if it falls out, it shouldn’t be too difficult for them to figure out what goes together.

I’d suggest calling College Board and seeing what they recommend, cause if it does somehow get lost, I’d assume your FRQs won’t be identified and you won’t get any credit for them. If you call, they may be able to make note and be sure to thoroughly check whatever batch your booklet comes in and fix it before they get processed.

I don’t think any one of us knows the entire process inside and out, so calling is definitely your best bet.

Thanks . Would it be a better idea to inform the school coordinator and request them to do the needful? instead of calling collegeboard direct…

It would probably be best to do so yourself because I have been in cases when I called the school and asked the stuff to do something and it never got taken care of (once I asked for a message to be relayed to the teacher who happened to be IN the main office when I called and she said no one told her anything).

Thanks for the advise. Will try to follow up. Never realised its such a rare occurrence. assumed many CC’ers would have experienced this… Wonder how it got detached while trying to take out the inserts.

So, does it contain NO identification in the inside answer sheets?

Correct, the FRQ booklet has no identification on the inside answer sheets (to prevent bias by the readers).

<correct, the=“” frq=“” booklet=“” has=“” no=“” identification=“” on=“” inside=“” answer=“” sheets=“” (to=“” prevent=“” bias=“” by=“” readers).=“”></correct,>

But the identification is on the outside sheet within which the inside sheets are there. So, dont understand the bias part in this context…

They don’t look at the covers, they read the essays. lol

And yes, do call yourself. Makes things 100x easier for you.
