I have an F and a C in two of my AP STEM classes and I’m not sure I can bring those grades up before the end of the semester. The lowest grade I had on my transcript when I was accepted was a low B and I had a couple of Bs in ap classes. I have A’s in all of my other classes (2 honors classes, AP Stats, and an elective) but I’m worried about my admission being rescinded. Do you think it’d be a good idea to email the admission’s office regarding the low grades before they see my transcript? Or should I not worry about it too much (especially due to the 4 A’s and co-vid situation)? The school is a private liberal arts college.
and in my admissions letter they specifically said that my offer was contingent on a strong final school record
An F can definitely get you rescinded. Yes, reach out to the college. See if you can take retake the class over the summer and still keep your spot.
An F (or D) grade in a course that was in-progress at the time of application is definitely a high risk situation. Better to contact the college earlier rather than surprise it in the summer.
