Thanks…

If you increase your CR score into the mid-600s as well as pull up your class rank a tad, I think you have a good shot. I got in with far less leadership roles, 1 less AP class, and only a slightly higher SAT score (1970). However, Bucknell is getting pretty competitive. I believe the acceptance rate for the class of 2011 was 30%, and the admissions committee is always looking to lower it for future classes. Definitely write a creative essay to make yourself stand out.

okay yeah im trying to get cr up, thanks!

yeah looks good so far. just retake the sat and hope ur cr goes up!

Bucknell really seems to love the SATs- I got in with a GPA similar to yours and a 2150, while I had friends with higher GPAs who were waitlisted with lower scores. Work on that CR and you should be okay- your ECs and APs will help you out a lot. Good luck! :)

My DD got waitlisted ( and declined the W/L) with an SAT of 2010 ( V710, M 600, W 700), 2 SAT subject tests were 680 and 750. She had 5 AP's the rest were honors. V good EC's including class officer, clubs, other leadership., comm service and 2 varsity sports that she basically played year round and she worked PT 16 hrs a week. Great rec's and essays, It was her first of 3 waitlist notices( others were Hamilton and Conn) and she was crestfallen. We were suprised however she got accepted into 8 other great colleges, 3 with merit scolarships and had a tough time making her decision...she chose Boston College. She regrets not taking the ACT in the fall of her SR year but she was too busy with field hockey and was done prepping and taking those tests.. Hope your ACT's are better than your SAT's and if not you will surely get into multiple colleges and have a hard time deciding...Good luck
