I received my award package two days ago in the mail and I'm not really sure if it will be worth going to Gallatin with the amount of loans I would have to pay back.

I'm planning to make my major/concentration a mix of film producing, media/comm, economics, sociology, etc. Basically, I want to do something with media & film and work in that industry while also using it in international affairs or something to be involved in the social justice works.

How much would I have to be paying back after I graduate? Do you think Gallatin is worth going to? Will I make enough money to pay it all back? I really really really want to go, but just not sure if its all worth it.

Gallatin Scholarship $15,000
Federal Work - Study Eligibility $4,000
Direct Stafford Loan - $3,500
Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan - $2,000
Direct PLUS Loan - $31,566

Btw: Can anyone explain what the different loans are?
