Worth sending a 770 Math II Score?

I understand that Math II is curved a bit, so a perfect 800 is quite a bit different from a 790 or a 770. Now, an 800 where someone missed 2 or 3 is pretty close to 790 or 770.

So, is 770 impressive enough to send to ND? I applied Early and I was wondering if it would enhance my application. I scored over 1500/1600 on the SAT and have sent no subject tests. Didn't take the ACT. Got a 4 on AP US History.

Thanks!

It can’t hurt to send it along – although if you applied EA it may get there too late to be part the evaluation of your application.

The admissions officer always told me that November scores are too late for Early Action, so yeah. You can try, but I’m not too sure about it.

My guess is, given that the deadline was a few weeks ago, those scores would be too late. Also, if your CR/M is already over 1500, what’s the point? (Unless of course the breakdown is skewed toward a much higher CR score than M.)

I actually got 790 on SAT math, 2nd try. My best CR score was also 2nd time, and I only took the SAT twice. That was in May of my Junior year.

So I guess it’s not necessary to send the Math II Score?

ND is my first choice by far, I want to ensure that my application is as good as possible.

I thought I did a great job on essays and all that, but if sending this would help I might as well.

Who knows.

For what it is worth, your scores are fine. Great, in fact. Stop worrying. If your essays are great, recs are great, EC’s are great, relax. Stop stressing. You look like a great candidate for ND. I assume you are, or will soon be, on Thanksgiving break. Watch some football, eat some turkey, whatever. (Unless, of course, you are a vegetarian who doesn’t care for televised sports!) My point is, your app is in, and given that ND doesn’t require SAT II’s, why send it? The only reason would be to make yourself less stressed, and if that’s the case, go for it.

Thank you!

I will heed your advice. Also, I love turkey… a lot.

Important question; if I’m ranked in top 2% of my class of about 400, have a 1500 SAT (and NMSF) with killer AP scores but only average extracurriculars, should I be panicking?
