If all goes well, i'll probably be taking AP USH, AP Stats, AP ELAC, AP Art History, and AP Chem during my Junior year. What are your thoughts.

ELAC?

5 won’t kill you. Especially if two of those are Stats and Art History.

That was pretty much my sched, but Bio for AP Chem. It really depends what you are capable of and how your school is. Some people can only handle one, while others juggle a full 6-8 AP load. Some of them I took to be “challenged” rather than get the credit, which made it a little bit lighter. Although I know a few who have taken 6 all for credit and it knocked them out, but to them it was worth it.

I concur with the above comment- stats, elac, and art hist aren’t too bad.

Space them out. Don’t overload yourself in one year. I suggest three. School is important, but you don’t want to stress out too much. If you can handle a large course load and the pressure in may of taking 5 APs, plus SATs, and everything else, then go with four or five. But you do have another year left of school, so again, just space them out.

English Language and Composition, I presume.

5 APs is a lot. At my school, the AP chem and APUSH combo would be a killer. stats at my school is pretty easy, but it might not be the same for yours.

Maybe ELAC is English Lit and Composition.

Just say Eng Lang or Eng Lit. Heck, if you left off Eng it would be most people’s guess that you were referring to english not spanish.

At my school, Stat and Art History are easy AP’s. AP US isn’t much work if you get good grades. Chem is hard but not a lot of work, and Eng Lang was easy but a fair amount of work.

I took 4 AP’s in 11th grade, with the difference being Calc BC instead of Stat/Art History. Yours probably wouldn’t be more difficult than mine, so it’s doable.

Take them all, you won’t regret it

I took AP “ELAC”, APUSH, AP Gov, and AP Calc and I survived.
You’ll be fine with 5 APs if you have a good work ethic.
Or a tolerance for sleep deprivation.

I’m taking 5 AP classes next year… AP Physics, AP Calc, AP Chem, APUSH and technically AP English Lang.

I’m doing 4: APUSH, English, Psych, and either Bio or Chem.

I think you should go for it if you can handle it because some people are more capable than others. Personally, I’m taking 4 APs my junior year but that’s only because there is no AP course for the other 3 classes I’m taking.

How many weighted did you take sophomore year/how many AP? Usually that’s a good indicator of whether or not you can handle it.

:( I took one Freshman Year, and as in one Sophomore Year, but I dropped it right before school started. Stupid parents made me after putting me in one in 9th. But I’, taking 4 Next Year. Super excited.

It really depends on the person (i.e. you), but that looks fine IMO. Just manage your time and do stuff, if you can (like doing a lot of your hw at school, etc)

I have 5 for junior year as well.

My limit is two extremely difficult AP classes
Each school is different but I find people can’t really juggle more than 3 really really difficult classes
Some APs (AP Psych, AP Bio, APES, AP Art History, APUSH, AP Euro) are easier (at least in my school) and you can load them up with some harder classes
Most people will take 5-6 APs but just remember that all 6 aren’t extremely difficult…

it really depends on you/the school
