Would any of you parents care to read my personal statement?

I know that it's not really common to ask for critique on the parent's forum, but I'm really desperate. My mother just left me totally disheartened, said it sucked stylistically and sounded tongue in cheek, eventho it took me more than a week to complete it :(
So I decided to resort to the advice of other parents. I'll PM it to anyone willing to help

PM your essay to me

bump it up:P

Sure, you can PM it to me.

buuuuuuump

come on, people...
this is getting humiliating

SAT_hater, we parents ahve found that two reviewers is probably a good number. More than that and it starts to get confusing/conflicting. Between marite and achat, you should get a good response as to whether your approach works. BTW, "tongue-in-cheek" can be one of the harder things to do in a written essay. DS tried it last year and decided to switch to a totally different topic and approach, as his mom (that would be me) felt it came across as more flippant than humorous. He hadn't spent as much time as you have fine-tuning the essay, so I sympathize. If you find yourself still confused AFTER you hear from marite and achat, you can PM it to me. But you probably won't need to.

Sorry it took so long....and I did put together a hastily prepared reply..anyway, I replied to his PM.
