would anyone know the answer to this??

GPA question here.....
A=4
A=4
A=4
B=3
A=4
B=3
B=3
C=2
B=3
B=3
B=3
B=3

This calculates into a 3.33

Now I failed my math class, however it was a non transferable math class...(intermediate algebra) and it was just a class needed to get into statistics... Would that F be part of my Transfer GPA??? Making my GPA.. a 3.0??

I asked a councelor and they said-
"The course and the grade for it both appear on your permanent SBCC
transcript. However, when the UC and CSU campuses determine eligibility
for transfer both do NOT use Math 107 in the transferable GPA."

Does this mean that the university will see this grade, but when looking at GPA, the math class will not affect it?

This means that when they're putting together a list of the classes that transfer and come up with a GPA for it, they won't include the F. It doesn't mean that they won't see the F, and I doubt they'll simply ignore it.

how did you fail intermediate algebra?! was there some sort of inevitable altercation?!

the answer is yes, this woul affect your your transfer gpa. All non transferable courses you take go into your cumm. gpa regardless of the fact whether they are requirements or whether they transfer or not.

actually, it will lower your GPA at the college your at. But it will not lower your transfer GPA, they will calculate that out.

If you plan on applying to a graduate school of some sort, that grade will be computed in your overall GPA whether it is transferred or not.

so lets say a school needs a certain gpa for gauranteed transfer, lets say.. 3.0... so if i was at a 3.0 with out the math grade computed into the transfer gpa would i have the 3.0, or would it be lower? still kinda confused. So basically im asking, is your transfer gpa the gpa they look at for transfer eligability or is it the CCC gpa they look at??
