Would I be allowed to continue taking classes at CC after transferring?

Quick question here, I'm currently a 2nd year student at a community college and I plan on transferring to Loyola University in Chicago next year.

My question is simply, would I be able to continue taking classes at my CC even after transferring?

By the time I transfer to Loyola, I would have over the maximum credit hours allowed due to the fact that I didn't know what to major in and what not. I decided to major in business.

I calculated all the classes I would have to take the over there to see whether or not I could graduate in 2-3 years. My calculations showed me that if I could take a few summer classes that I could graduate in 2 years, if not, it would take me about 3, or 2 and a half.

Would I still be allowed to take classes at my CC even after transferring? And even though I am over the limit?

You can take classes if you feel like it, but the credits might not transfer into your degree program. Talk with the people at Loyola about this.

Well the classes would be gen-ed classes that I have to fulfill like Religion classes, Humanities, etc.
