Would I have any chance of transferring to Sewanee?

Right now I am serving in a program in which I may get financial aid award that can range from approximately $5,000 ~ $15,000, assuming that the institution will “match it”.

I came across this university as part of a college search, and I love the sound of it. It sounds like exactly where I want to go to finish my Earth Science degree and minor in Ecology or Chemistry, and even attend for graduate school. I love the idea of how secluded and deep into nature it is, and how close-knit it is. I used to go to the University of Memphis (UofM), and even though I think it’s a great school, the environment just was not what I wanted at all.

I also messed around too much, and now, even though I am close to graduating, I am almost out of financial aid, and could only afford about one more semester at the UofM on student loans alone, from my understanding and according to my dad.

I have a strong desire to go because I have recently been captivated by nature, and how everything connects, and how similar chemical reactions are to mechanical devices, and I want that strong sense of community, and another chance at athletics. If I would have known I would like these things before, I would have come straight to this school, and it feels like my mind is making all of these connections that it just didn’t make almost three years ago.

Thankfully, I have a GPA of 3.0 due to classes I have taken with Park University online, but I am afraid even that will not be enough. And even if I get accepted, I don’t know what scholarships I can qualify for. I’m willing to do anything to get in and stay in until I am done. If I have to write an essay, a poem, a story, a song, do volunteer work every weekend while there, work a job on campus or away from campus, I will do whatever it will take for me to earn and keep my place there.
